Learning to Breathe: Mastering the Art of Spiritual Respiration

Relationship with God is to your soul what breathing is to your lungs. But how can humans— made of the dust of the earth and physically and temporally limited—know the Eternal and Unchanging God of the Universe? He is Spirit; we are flesh. We are located in time and space in a mortal body; He is unlimited in all things. It seems impossible that we would be able to be intimate with Him. That’s what this book is all about. What I propose to you in these pages is a relationship with God based on His relational nature, best described as “shared life.” God gives us His life, and we offer it back to Him in worship and praise.
